Compact transformer substations with a metal enclosure serve as an indispensable component of the modern power supply infrastructure. They enable efficient transmission of electricity and its distribution from medium to low voltage, which is suitable for such end-users as households, businesses, and industrial facilities. A metal enclosure with a cast reinforced-concrete base ensures long service life and reliable operation. The base of the transformer compartment functions as a hermetically sealed oil sump, protecting the environment from contamination in the event of a breakdown in the transformer. The enclosure of the substation and its door protect potential general public and surrounding infrastructure in the event of an internal arc or fire.
Substations with a metal enclosure are used in industrial environments or in places where a light weight structure is necessary. In order for the substation to better blend with its surroundings, we offer the option of painting the enclosure in a RAL palette colour, or provide the facade of the substation with a wooden plank finish.
Compact substation for a 1 kV network with a maximum transformer capacity of 50 kVA. The substation is manufactured in accordance with the TS 1003.001 technical specifications of AS ‘Sadales tīkls’ and the EN 61227-202 standard.
Its enclosure is made of 1.5 mm thick DX51D galvanised steel sheets with a 275 g/m2 zinc coating, and a UV-resistant polymer coating in RAL7032 colour, compliant with environmental class C4 as per EN ISO 12944-2.
The base of the enclosure is made of 3 mm thick S235JR steel in accordance with EN 10025-2, hot-dip galvanised as per ISO 1416. The base has a UV-resistant coating in RAL7030 colour.
