Reinforced-concrete substation with Cor-Ten facade panels in Riga

Spīķeri CTS. In order for the substation to blend well with the cultural and historic environment of the Spīķeri Quarter, it was equipped with a Cor-Ten steel facade developed from an architect’s sketch. The structure of the facade does not impede the function of the substation in any way, and enables easy access for maintenance. This solution can also be set up on substations that are already installed, making it possible to improve their visual integration into the given environment without significant rebuilding.
